Allie is an international PR expert and content producer. Currently the Senior Publicist on Netflix’s award-winning series The Crown, Allie just completed an MA in International Political Economy with International Economic Law at the University of Kent’s Brussels School of International Studies.
While not busy managing Netflix’s creative content and press activities on set, she is the Executive Editor and co-host of the Beyond Brussels podcast, a digital current affairs show examining the world’s hottest topics.
The daughter of environmental activists, Allie became a political campaigner and organiser in her early teens. After falling in love with journalism at Carleton University, she made her way to CBC News as a Content & Breaking News Producer, working in various bureaus including Parliament Hill, CBC’s Toronto headquarters and the London (UK) Bureau including live producing the Queen’s Jubilee Celebrations and the London Summer Olympics coverage.
Making the move from journalism to PR, she joined the team at IJPR, one of the UK’s premier television and entertainment publicity agencies. There, she found her love for unit publicity & producing exciting behind-the-scenes content. Her news production background helps her feel at home on a set and able to navigate the sometimes tricky environment. Tenacious and sincere, she is able to build relationships with talent on and off screen.
A dual Canadian-American citizen fluent in French, Allie has spent more than six years living across Europe and is familiar with media, cultural and political environments on both sides of the Atlantic. Her dissertation focused on the intersection of responsibility and innovation in the digital economy.
